Contrôlé sans permis de conduire, l’attaquant français du Real Madrid est dans de beaux draps, commente le site metronews.fr. Karim Benzema a une nouvelle fois été rattrapé par la patrouille au volant de sa Rolls Royce blanche. L’attaquant français était accompagné d’une jeune femme, et s’est fait contrôler aux alentours de l’aéroport de Madrid, hier matin.
Sur son site, une radio madrilène raconte que l’ex-lyonnais aurait protesté pace aux policiers, prétextant un oubli de ses papiers et ceux de sa voiture. Mais après vérification à son domicile, on a pu apprendre que le footballeur n’avait tout simplement pas pris la peine d’effectuer les formalités pour récupérer son permis de conduire qui lui avait déjà été retiré il y a deux ans à l’occasion d’un excès de vitesse : 194 km/h là où la limite était de 100.
Des avocats spécialisés dans les infractions routières estiment que le français s’expose à une très forte amende. Karim Benzema, condamné à payer 18 000 euros et à huit mois de suspension en mars 2013, ne devrait pas passer par la case prison puisqu’il ne conduisait ni sous l’emprise de l’alcool, ni en excès de vitesse. En revanche, s’il venait à être pris en défaut de permis pour la 3e fois, une "peine de prison est pratiquement inéluctable", assurent-ils.
