Dans un entretien accordé au Parisien, Laurent Blanc avoue qu’il a choisi de venir au PSG, sans y avoir été obligé, et « je sais ce qui m’attend ».
Pour le quotidien Le Parisien, tout laisse à penser que Laurent Blanc n’est là que pour un an. Ainsi, l’ancien sélectionneur de l’Equipe de France se voit-il en tant que dit « entraîneur Kleenex » ? « Les résultats parleront. Je ne suis pas au-dessus des règles », répond le principal intéressé et d’avouer : « Je travaille pour faire la meilleure saison, ça, je peux vous le garantir. Je ne me projette pas au-delà. Certains entraîneurs avaient des contrats de six ou sept ans, et, six mois plus tard, ils n’étaient plus là ».
Dans ce métier, « on travaille saison par saison. Mais je ne me sens pas en sursis », poursuit-il, expliquant espérer avoir assez de temps pour travailler car au PSG, les objectifs sont très élevés … « Si j’y arrive, on aura peut-être la chance de se revoir, sinon je pense qu’on se verra dans un autre contexte ».
Ainsi, la pression est-elle extrêmement forte ? « Il faut arrêter avec ça ! J’ai choisi de venir au PSG, je n’étais pas obligé ». « On sait ce qu’on attend de vous et ce qui vous attend. Il ne faut pas être surpris de cela »,continue l’homme de 47 ans tout en souligant : « Quel entraîneur débute la saison sans pression ? Si on est surpris d’avoir la pression à Paris, il ne faut pas venir ». « J’ai accepté de venir avec grand plaisir et je sais ce qui m’attend. Dans tous les cas », assure le coach.
Etre sur le banc du Paris Saint-Germain à cette période de son histoire est un sacré défi. « C’est excitant, exigeant, usant », affirme blanc. En revanche, « j’ai de la chance d’être là. Je veux en profiter et faire en sorte que cela dure le plus longtemps possible », conclut-il.
