Dimitri Payet was the guest of a football television show "Téléfoot" on french television this sunday. The West Ham United FC player was asked about his future.
Dimitri Payet first adressed the current standings in the English Premier League. West Ham United FC is in 15th place : "It was a very bad start to the season. We put ourselves in a difficult position. Now, we’re scratching and clawing to get to the upper half of the table."
Dimitri Payet has settled in London at the beginning of the 2015-2016 season. After a successful first year under Slaven Bilic, West Ham United FC and the Frenchman are presently struggling in the league.
Dimitri Payet is being asked whether he considers leaving the london club or not.
"As of now, I have other worries because we’re 15th in the league and we need to get out that position first. After that’s done, I’m an ambitious person as I have always said. So I’m not saying ’no’ to anything. But come this october, leaving is not part of the plan."
At the beginning of the interview, Dimitri Payet was asked about the song West Ham United FC fans sing to him.
"At first, I didn’t know it was for me because I couldn’t understand English much. Now, I hear and understand when they sing to me. It’s good motivation and it compells me to be better on the pitch."
