Le photographe réunionnais William Childéric est mort vendredi à Madagascar.
William Childéric est décédé ce vendredi à Madagascar. Le photographe réunionnais est co-fondateur de l’association Aïna qui organisait plusieurs opérations de solidarité à La Réunion pour les plus défavorisés dans la Grande île.
William Childéric était jusqu’à il y a une dizaine d’années photographe du Quotidien de La Réunion notamment.
Il est décédé alors qu’il était hospitalisé suite à une chute. Les circonstances de sa mort n’ont pas encore été élucidées.
Nathalie Charbonnier, présidente de l’association Aïna Enfance et Avenir, explique : "Nous sommes juste au courant du fait qu’il y avait une agression. William Childéric, je l’ai connu via son ex-compagne. J’ai créé avec elle l’association. Il nous a beaucoup aidé dès le début avec ses photos pour mettre en place la communication."
Elle ajoute l’avoir rencontré peu de temps avant le drame : "Je l’ai vu il y a trois semaines. Il était installé depuis quelques mois à Tananarive pour être psychologue. Il avait vraiment changé de vie. Il voulait de nouveau nous aider dans l’association pour former les éducateurs à la psychologie des enfants."
